Product Questions

Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes. Our formulas are thoughtfully made with gentle, skin-supportive ingredients and are designed for all skin types, including dry and sensitive skin.

However, if scented variants are not suitable for your skin, we recommend choosing the fragrance-free option for Body Butter and other products. Even in our scented variants, we use natural fragrances that are generally well tolerated by most skin types and are carefully limited for a gentle experience.

All products are fragrance-free unless otherwise stated.

Be sure to keep an eye out for our Calm Series, which is more tailored to irritation-prone skin, including skin experiencing eczema, TSW recovery, and other chronic skin concerns.

Our Body Butter and Face Cream is ideal for daily moisture, while our Barrier Balm is best for very dry, rough, or compromised areas that need extra protection.

Body Butter is a whipped, everyday moisturizer designed to nourish and soften larger areas of the skin. Barrier Balm is a richer, concentrated balm made to form a protective layer over dry patches, rough spots, and areas that need extra care.

Body Butter is designed for the body, but it can be used on the face. However, it is not recommended if daily comfort, lightweight hydration, and long-term facial skin appearance are your priorities.

For facial use, we recommend our Face Cream, which is lighter, more breathable, and specifically formulated for daily facial hydration and long-term facial skin support.

Yes. Barrier Balm can be used daily on dry areas such as the hands, elbows, knees, feet, or areas experiencing persistent dryness.

We do not recommend using it on acne-prone areas.

Our formulas are rich and nourishing, but designed to feel comfortable on skin. Face Cream and Body Butter absorbs into the skin with a soft, conditioned finish, while Barrier Balm has a heavier protective feel by design.

Ingredient Questions

Are your ingredients naturally derived?

Yes. Our ingredients are naturally derived, with many being plant-based. Even our water-based products, such as Face Cream, use naturally derived preservatives and emulsifiers. However, these ingredients must undergo lab processing for functional necessity, since the same stability, preservation, and performance would not be possible using only raw, unrefined ingredients.

Our water-free products, such as Body Butter and Barrier Balm, allow us to use simpler, more traditional natural ingredient bases without the need for water-phase preservation.

All our products are fragrance-free unless offered in scented variants such as Body Butter. Any scented versions are made with essential oils and are free from synthetic fragrance. Always check the product page or label for details.

No. Our products are made without parabens, phthalates, silicones, sulfates, dyes, or lab-sourced ingredients that are not naturally derived.

We prioritize organic ingredients where it matters most, including cold-pressed oils and essential oils, to help reduce exposure to unwanted pesticide residues and support a cleaner, more intentional approach to formulation.

For other ingredients, organic sourcing may not be listed because the ingredient is already highly refined, where pesticide exposure is very low; because stability may become a concern when organically sourced; or because the ingredient is not available in a certified organic form.

Please check each product page to verify which ingredients are organically sourced. If an ingredient is not labeled organic, it does not necessarily mean it is not organic, as not all ingredients are available or certified in organic form.

Some products may be vegan, but not all. For example, our Barrier Balm contains beeswax, so it is not vegan. Please check each product page for specific ingredient details.

Usage Questions

How should I use the butter products?

Apply a small amount to clean, dry skin and massage in until absorbed. For best results, use after bathing or showering while skin is slightly damp.

Apply a generous amount to clean, dry facial skin with clean dry hands in the morning, evening, or whenever your skin needs lightweight hydration.

Apply a thin layer to dry, rough, or compromised areas as needed. It works best as a finishing layer to help seal in moisture and protect the skin.

Yes. Use the butter product first for moisture, then apply the balm product over very dry areas to help lock in comfort and protection.

Yes. We recommend applying a small amount to a discreet area of skin and waiting 24 hours before full use, especially if you have sensitive or reactive skin.

Packaging Questions

What makes your packaging eco-conscious?

Our jars and bottles are made with wheat straw–infused material, which helps reduce reliance on traditional plastic while giving agricultural byproducts a more useful purpose.

Our packaging is designed with environmental impact in mind, but recyclability may vary depending on your local recycling program. Please check your local recycling guidelines.

Shipping Questions

How long does shipping take?

Orders typically ship within 1–3 business days. Delivery times may vary depending on your location and the shipping carrier.

We currently ship within the United States.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your order and delivery location. Shipping is free for all orders over $50.

Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information.

Returns & Order Questions

Do you accept returns?

Due to the personal nature of skincare products, we can only accept returns on eligible unused and unopened items within 7 days of delivery.

Please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the damaged item and packaging. We’ll help make it right.

If your order has not yet shipped, contact us as soon as possible. Once an order has been processed or shipped, we may not be able to make changes.

Please contact us with your order number and a photo of the item received. We’ll review it and help resolve the issue.

At this time, we do not offer direct exchanges. Eligible items may be returned according to our return policy, and a new order can be placed separately.

Are your products cruelty-free?

Yes. Ecolibra products are not tested on animals.

Our products are made in the USA, manufactured by Ecolibra LLC in small batches with carefully selected ingredients.

The name Ecolibra represents our ethos at its core, combining “eco” to evoke ecology, nature, and sustainability with “libra,” rooted in the Latin word for equilibrium and harmony. Together, they capture the idea of balance through nature for your skin.
