As co-founder of Ecolibra, I know firsthand the struggle of living with sensitive skin, eczema, and topical steroid withdrawal. I was diagnosed with eczema at eight years old and, like many others, relied on prescribed topical steroids for over two decades. What was presented as a solution slowly weakened my skin’s natural resilience, trapping me in a cycle of flare-ups, stronger prescriptions, and growing sensitivity.

When I finally stopped using steroids, I entered one of the most physically and emotionally difficult seasons of my life. During withdrawal, nothing seemed to help. It was during this time that my girlfriend — deeply passionate about holistic living — began creating simple, natural blends to soothe my skin. Her first formula, made with shea butter and plant oils, brought a level of comfort I hadn’t felt in years. Slowly, my skin began to recover.

At the same time, I experienced a deeper realization: nature already provides what we need to restore balance. That understanding became the foundation of Ecolibra.

Today, I am steroid-free, my skin feels strong and balanced, the woman who supported me through that journey is now my wife, and my first child was born the same year as Ecolibra.
